Important Shipping Advisory for September–November 2026
We would like to give all PFC customers advance notice of several upcoming events in China that may affect order processing and international shipping.
Key Dates
Mid-Autumn Festival: September 25–27, 2026
National Day / Golden Week: October 1–7, 2026
APEC Summit in Shenzhen: November 18–19, 2026
During the September and October holiday periods, many factories, offices, warehouses and logistics providers in China operate with reduced staff or temporarily suspend operations.
Shipping volumes also typically increase significantly before the holidays and immediately after operations resume, which can create additional backlog throughout the logistics network.
Potential APEC Shipping Disruptions
The 2026 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting will take place in Shenzhen on November 18–19.
Freight partners are preparing for the possibility of enhanced security measures and stricter cargo inspections in Shenzhen and surrounding logistics hubs before and during the summit.
At this stage, it is impossible to predict the exact impact on individual shipping routes, but additional processing time and temporary disruptions are possible.
We Recommend Ordering Early
If you are planning to place an order during September, October or November, we strongly recommend ordering earlier than usual.
For orders you would like processed before the October holidays, we recommend placing them by mid-September whenever possible.
For November orders, we recommend placing them before early November and allowing additional time for international delivery.
PFC will continue working with our suppliers and logistics partners to minimize disruptions and keep orders moving whenever possible.
